2/11 Quick Catchup

I’m a bit behind on my session logging so what follows is an abbreviated account.

Prev Session:

Moems #2

We did the second out of five of the MOEMS sections. This was definitely harder than the first one. I had good participation at the whiteboarding of solutions time.

MathCounts on the Weekend:

We placed 3rd at the Seattle Chapter and can go onto States. Yay!

Unfortunately several people who signed up didn’t show up and didn’t email that they decided to not join until I repinged them.

I decided to have the group watch the Hannah Fry’s recent Xmas lectures from the RI. I really like the video.

 

Sans a few confusions over Britishisms this went over very well.

TODO:

I’m investigating whether to build Napiers Bones out of popsicle sticks as a group and I have yet another section of MOEMS to catch up with.
