This post was a bit delayed by  my chaotic schedule right. I’ve decided to dash it out now before the details fade too much more.

As is traditional I brought in a small cake from QFC to celebrate the last day. These always go over well.  After everyone was done eating, I had the kids work on recruiting posters for next year.

The idea which came to me last fall is to post these next year in the halls prior to signup and hopefully find more students.  The key is to do them now while I have everyone around to actually make authentic versions rather than doing them myself.

Finally, we spent the back half outside in the sun playing Flagway.

I had the kids create the course in sidewalk chalk.  This worked reasonably well but in the future, it would be better to print out a template and have the kids work from it to avoid chalk mistakes and bunching.  There was enough time for each team to run the course once and get a time score.  I may return to this next year and investigate using the gym with some sort of  hoops and tape.
